Log Channels

7 commandsGroup toolsOpen in Telegram

Who banned whom, and why? Link a channel and Marina writes an entry there for every ban, mute, warning, settings change, report and more, so your admin team always has a record.

Linking a channel#

  1. Add Marina to a channel (a private one is fine) as an admin who can post.
  2. Send /setlog in the channel.
  3. Forward that post to your group.

What gets logged#

Six categories, all on by default: settings, admin, user, automated, reports and other. Turn them on and off with /log, /nolog or the buttons in /logsettings. Even changes made by hand in Telegram (bans, promotions, ownership transfers) are logged, and entries link to the message they're about.

Commands#

Admins

/setlog
Links a log channel (see above).
/unsetlog
Stops logging and forgets the channel.
/logchannel
The linked channel and what's logged.
/log <categories>
Logs these categories again, or all.
/nolog <categories>
Stops logging these categories, or all.
/logcategories
What each category covers.
/logsettings
Switch categories with buttons.

Examples#

/nolog reports automated
Skip reports and automatic actions.
/log all
Log everything again.

Good to know#

  • Only a channel can be a log channel, and it can't be the group's linked comments channel.
  • You must be an admin of the channel too.
  • Silent actions need a log channel, so admins still see what happens quietly.
