Everything you write through Marina (notes, filters, welcomes, rules, recurring messages and /say posts) can be dressed up. You can type the syntax below, use your Telegram app's own formatting menu, or skip the syntax altogether and build the message in the message editor.
Text styles#
*bold* or **bold** | bold |
_italic_ | italic |
__underline__ | underlined |
~strike~ | struck through |
||spoiler|| | hidden until tapped |

**> long quote|| | a quote readers tap to unfold |
Links and buttons#
A link inside the text: [my website](example.com).
A button under the message: [Open site](buttonurl://example.com). Every button starts a new row; add :same at the end of the address to put it next to the previous one.
Buttons can be coloured: buttonurl#primary:// is blue, #success green and #danger red. A note button opens one of the group's notes: [FAQ](buttonurl://#faq). And {rules} adds a Rules button ({rules:same} keeps it on the same row).
Fillings#

{username} | their @username, or a mention if they have none |
{mention} | their name as a tappable mention |

Random replies#
Put a line holding only %%% between versions, and Marina picks one at random each time:
Rich messages#
Reply to a rich message (Telegram Premium) with /save, /filter, /setwelcome, /setrules, /repeat, /say or /permapin, and Marina keeps it whole: tables, lists and media. Fillings and buttons written inside still work.
Showing a symbol as it is#
Put a backslash in front: \* shows a plain asterisk.
