Antiflood

5 commandsAnti-spamOpen in Telegram

Floods bury real conversation. Antiflood watches how fast each member posts and steps in when someone goes over the line. There are two rules, and both are off until you set them.

Two ways to count#

  • Messages in a row: /setflood 7 acts on the seventh message someone sends without anyone else speaking.
  • Messages over time: /setfloodtimer 10 30s acts on ten messages within thirty seconds, even if others talk in between.

The punishment#

A ban by default. Choose mute, kick, tban or tmute with /floodmode, and add /clearflood on to delete the flood itself as well.

Commands#

Admins

/flood
The current settings. Also /antiflood.
/setflood <number/off>
Act on this many messages in a row, 1 to 100.
/setfloodtimer <count> <time>
Act on this many messages within a time, 3 seconds to 1 hour. Also /setfloodtime.
/floodmode <action> [time]
ban, mute, kick, tban or tmute. Also /setfloodmode.
/clearflood <on/off>
Also delete the flood messages. Also /floodclear.

Examples#

/setflood 7
Act on the 7th message in a row.
/setfloodtimer 10 30s
Act on 10 messages within 30 seconds.
/floodmode tban 3d
Ban flooders for three days.
/setflood off
Turn the in-a-row rule off.

Good to know#

  • Admins, approved members, channels and bots are never counted, and an album counts as one message.
  • The timed rule goes by when messages were sent, so a backlog after a restart doesn't look like a flood.
  • sban, smute and skick act silently, once silent actions are on (see Misc).
  • Marina needs Ban users and Delete messages.
