From an empty group to a well-kept one: add Marina, give her the rights she needs, and switch on the features your group wants. Everything happens inside Telegram.
1. Add Marina to your group#
The button below opens Telegram, lets you pick a group, and makes Marina an admin with the right permissions already ticked.
Or open @ItsMarinaBot, press Start, and tap Add me to a group.
2. Check her admin rights#
Marina can only do what her rights allow. These are the ones she asks for, and what each is for:
To promote and demote people with /promote, also give her Add new admins. She never needs to be anonymous.
3. Run a checkup#
4. First things to set up#
{rules} button.#faq.Want buttons, bold text or a different welcome each time? Build it in the message editor and paste the command it gives you.
5. Manage from private chat#
Settings don't have to change in front of everyone. Send /connect in the group, tap the button, and most admin commands you send Marina in private then apply to that group. See Connections.
Moving from Rose#
No need to start over. Marina reads the same formatting (buttonurl:// buttons, {first} fillings, %%% random replies) and understands most of the same commands. Export your settings in Rose with /export, then reply to that file in your group with /import. Notes, filters, rules, welcomes, locks and blocklists come across. See Import/Export.
How commands work#
- Commands start with
/or!. In groups with several bots, add her name:/ban@ItsMarinaBot. - Pick a user by replying to their message, or give their
